Vozikis Athanassios is Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus. He holds a degree in Public Administration from the Panteion University, a M.Sc. in Health Informatics from National Kapodistriako University of Athens and a Ph.D. in Health Economics and Information Systems from the University of Piraeus. He has been an I.K.Y. (State Scholarships Foundation) scholar for his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies.

He is member of the National Council of Public Health, member of various scientific associations and organizations and member of the editorial board and reviewer of several academic journals. He has participated in many research projects in the Health Care Sector, as well as in various other sectors. He has participated in as guest speaker in many Conferences and a number of his articles have been published in academic journals, academic issues and scientific conferences proceedings. He teaches Health Economics, Healthcare Management, Environmental Economics, Information Systems and Digital Economy courses at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has been Supervisor and referee of many dissertations and Ph.D. theses.
